NASA Dart mission has astronomers worried

so, it didnt go like they thought and now they are surprised...lol....... well, shrapnel rarely acts like we think it should...lol................ i can tell most of these folks never got the "it'll put your eye out " speech as kids.... didnt they ever do anything wreckless or exciting when young..............

Isn't NASA the brainy organisation who flew man to the moon and back and promptly forgot how they accomplished it??
Logic would indicate that an industrial complex on the moon, using the asteroids as raw materials , would reduce the closest offending asteroids first and benefit future space technologies and missions.
 
Regardless of the inaptitude of the experiments they are learning and I for one am glad because if a giant meteor is coming towards us, these are the people we will be looking to for hope. I am glad they are working on the potential life ending event if a big one comes directly at us.
