My Ouija board story

this is my experience with a ouija board. This story is mostly a cautionary tale, but this is also why I started reading into spiritual warfare and demonology as young as 14, just to keep myself safe from everything that started happening.

So when I was 14, I was kinda interested in dabbling with the occult, because I had an idea what was out there, and from the age of 5-8 (I’m not entirely sure because many memories of my childhood are either fuzzy or absent) I’ve had encounters with angels and demons. I just wanted to understand what was out there. So with all that said, Dumb little me decided to build a ouija board.

From a young age if i could build something rather than buy it, I’d build it and make it better than store bought. So I built a ouija board myself. It was red with black lettering, in a circular looking font, clear coated so the planchette glided without issues. The planchette was made out of thick wood, a fake leather glued to the top just to keep it fancy, and the bottom had some felt feet. At the time I was very proud of how it turned out, despite me having jack squat for woodworking skills.

So I did some searching on the internet and followed the more common sense rules than what comes with the “toy” boards come with. I never used them alone, understood the risks of taking the spirits for their word, and always making sure that you’re the one in charge, and not letting the spirits change that power dynamic. And on with my first use.

First time was no big deal. Before I started, I lit a white tea light candle, said a short prayer, and declared out loud no evil spirits were welcome in the room. My sister and I used it.
And I asked a few questions and my sister and I were arguing who was really moving it. I insisted I wasn’t moving it. After a few more questions, the spirit left on its own.

This time my sister and I let my step dad try it out. So I asked who we were talking to, the board said K-I-R-K C-A-P-T....... then I just told my dad to cut it out. He has a strange sense of humour that beats mine any day :D

The third time my sister and I decided to see if we could contact a dead celebrity. I have no idea why but we chose Michael Jackson. So the spirit said it was in fact him, but after asking a few questions, the spirit started asking it’s own questions. The subject matter got sexual very quickly. Keep in mind I was 14 and my sister was 12. So I was like NO THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. GOODBYE! to my surprise the planchette moved to NO. So again, I said “you need to go and not come back. Goodbye” and it said no a second time. So the last time I said Goodbye one last time, moved my planchette to goodbye for 3 seconds, then took the planchette off the board and flipped it upside down. At that time I made it a point to store the board and planchette separately.

After that I noticed I was having serious mood swings for the next week or so. Actually I started having them roughly after I used the board for the first time. And no that wasn’t normal for me as a kid or teenager. And I decided to put two and two together and figured it was a straight up bad idea for me to use that board again, or even have it in the house. I told my step mom (a big skeptic and atheist) that I needed the fire pit to burn it, and that it was necessary for proper disposal. She said no because of the paint and clear coat I put on it, also that it “wasn’t a big deal how you get rid of it”. So I settled with my hatchet. So took it in the back yard, said a short prayer, and smashed that God damned thing to about 8 pieces, then threw it in the trash.

Unfortunately that didn’t change things. I noticed after moving twice since the incident, I started having more messed up dreams, seeing shadowy figures around, and at around the age of 17 I started having regular sleep paralysis episodes. It wasn’t until about the age of 19 or 20 that I started getting serious about what I’ve read up on spiritual warfare and put it to use.

This board is one of the biggest contributors to supernatural threats that I’ve faced, and the reason I had to read up for years how to keep myself safe. PLEASE, IF THIS TEACHES YOU ANYTHING, YOU NEED TO RESPECT THIS BOARD AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOURE DOING, AND HOW TO DO SO SAFELY, AND EVEN THEN, BE COMPLETELY AWARE OF THE RISKS OF USING THIS BOARD. IT IS NOT A TOY, IT IS A TOOL. AND LIKE A HAMMER, FIREARM OR A LAWNMOWER, YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT IT CAN HURT YOU IF YOURE NOT CAREFUL.

Thanks for sharing. This was a very interesting read. Have you elaborated what you’ve learned about spiritual warfare in any other posts? Any that you could point me to? I would be very interested to hear about your findings.

Little tidbits here and there. But because I don’t want to fill the forum with what I know about demons and sorcery, I don’t go into too great of detail.

I think we all have a slightly different way of dealing with negative energy and negative entities.

The biggest thing in my opinion is you need to identify your enemy. Even if you can’t get a name, you need to figure out what type of spirit your dealing with and what it’s intentions are then you can go from there.

I don't want to just jump right in here... but I think I will. Just because. I re-followed this thread through and want to say...
I just recently had a very long conversation with someone that correlates (at least to me) on this thread.

So, do or die... here are a few thoughts.

Raise your hand if you TRULY believe in Spiritual Warfare. Not as a concept, but as a Truth. Raise your hand if you truly believe in True darkness or True Light? I see a lot of "where did you get that" going on here. Does it matter? You either get it or you don't.

Humanity has no problem believing in darkness. We thrive on it. But when someone suggests that The Light... Angels of Light ... Are, Can, and Do, continually battle with darkness. Well, all of a sudden we question the whole thing.

There are some individuals... Human individuals... that have either been Called on or in other ways, thrust... into the Truth of Spiritual warfare. A very few... VERY few, choose Light. Personally I would say Thank'ee to Charleh... for choosing The Light.

:disrelieved:

Darcy, knowing my members pretty well, I would say most choose the Light here and truly believe in the battle itself. And many of us are Spiritual Warriors who have chosen to fight the dark. We may not all be of one faith, but all recognize the dark and battle it. Kind of what this site is based on, actually. :)

People who come here embracing darkness tend to run off after figuring out what we’re about.
