Between here and there...
The new year is upon us and, quite frankly, I'm ready to see the old one go. 2024 was a year that many of you out there encountered major events that impacted your lives. I was one of those.

This past year was a roller coaster of events. I gave up a home to find a new one. I moved 250 miles within 6 weeks of finding that new home, gave up many possessions but gained new ones on arrival, lost a husband and gained a family...all in 7 months. A lot of other things were sprinkled in between all that like praying for my son to stay cancer free (which he has), working through finding new health providers, and working through health issues involving my late husband.

I took a moment to look back at this year and found myself sure of one thing...I made it through the most difficult year of my life with two things: The help of my friends and family and hanging on to my faith in a God that holds you up. They were there through it all.

So to all of you who have walked an uphill road this past year, who felt like the roller coaster of life was never gonna slow down, who have felt lost, alone, depressed, or grieving...have Faith. Have faith in whatever name you give to God/Creator/Divine One. Have faith that your friends are there for you. Have faith that you can get through this thing called life. It's a precious gift.

If you find yourself needing someone to talk to or support you, reach out. You're not alone. We're all out here...your friends, family, and this, your forum family. Have faith and keep moving forward, my friends. May this next year bring us together as we tackle any bumps in the road.

For me the last 2 weeks went slow, one day at a time. I was selected very fist time to serve on a jury Dec 3, 2024. I got paid so not really complaining.
