Movie props.

Back when I was spending a lot of time in Burbank, there were a number of shops near the studios that sold movie/TV memorabilia and props. There was also clothing/costumes from various films/series. A call to the Burbank Chamber of Commerce should be able to steer you in the right direction.
My best friend had a roommate whose uncle was a bigtime propmaster in LA. He had worked on "Ben" and had dozens of fake, but very authentic looking, rats. He sent several of them to his nephew, including Ben's primary stand-in "stunt rat" and a couple that were purposely made to look as if they had been injuried/wounded.
We had a blast with those things, they certainly got people's attention. My (then) four year old niece absolutely adored the rat I was loaned, despite the fact he had been made to look like he came off second best in a battle to the death. She even insisted on sleeping with it. He sat in my office for a couple years, dressed in a tiny Nomex flight suit and helmet.

Also desperately seeking anything from the broken lizard movies....Super Troopers, Beerfest,Club Dread, ect!
Ive found some cool replicas ill probably pick up. Ive found some stuff from the movies I listed,but its usually a piece of wood from a door or cloth from a shirt. Usually 20-50 bucks so this may be a good way to get my foot in the door without spending alot.
I think I saw the coin from the Goonies sold some years ago for over 10k! That will never happen...lol! Now the replica yeah....lol

Ive gotten a pretty good start! Figured out what to look for when buying autographs and props.
So far I have every main cast member from Super Troopers/Beerfest on multiple items. Then I got the 1 coin to rule them all! The actual screen used distance coin frim Beerfest directly from the prop master!
Also got all the Ghostbusters cast autographs and Chevy Chase. Need Cory Feildman, Tom Hanks, and Keanu Reeves....on Bill and Ted pic!
I also got original posters and framed film cells.

Sounds like you are doing great and creating quite the collection! Very cool! Keep us up to date with your finds.
Ill get pictures eventually. Usually its been open,inspect,put away. Im gonna need frames and shadow boxes before I put things out. A cat or dog would love to chew on anything they can get.
Super troopers 1-2 I pretty much have covered and Beerfest. Got a few small things to grab still. The main things I have . Multiple autographs, pictures, posters, screen used distance coin,scripts.
Goonies I just need 1 autograph and im done. Got script, film cells,...all kinds of stuff...lol
Ghostbusters done for now. Got pics,poster,autographs,film cells

The Burbs..just the poster. Probably gonna have to get Tom Hanks or Cory Fieldmans autograph for it.
Scored Michael Ketons autograph! So Beetlejuice is covered! Ive made sure all my autographs have BCA or JSA certificates and hologram/qr.
Still waiting on posters to arrive! The simplest and 1st thing I ordered...lol! Can't really start putting things up until I get them and frame them. Then a few shadow boxes for things!
