Miscellaneous EDC Gear

Cigarettes is a good one, Jad. Think of anything that is either needed or is a "security" item - not meaning defense, but makes you feel safe and secure. Feminine hygiene products are a needed item. Bibles believe it or not may become very important in an end times scenario - that would be a comfort or security item. Think along these lines for barter goods.

  • Alcohol or Tobacco. ...
  • Salt / spices / seasoning. ...
  • Sugar / honey. ...
  • Coffee / tea. ...
  • Fresh vegetables / fruit. ...
  • Heirloom seeds. ...
  • Toilet paper / wipes. ...
  • Toiletries (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.)
  • Medication (antibiotics, pain meds)

Batteries are one those items you should pay extra for top quality, and look at best if used by/expiration dates. I've seen packages of alkaline batteries in the same display with over a year's difference in their life.
