working on a three canvas piece of a ballet themed series. when I work on a project like this I will do many, many sketches from reference photos for pose, anatomy and general placement, movement, etc.... and then I do a couple of "test" runs on canvas paper using acrylic paint to get an idea of color and a general "vision" of what I want to create. so this is one of the test pics, acrylic on canvas paper... just having fun with it before it gets "filed" away....lol...., the pose is all that will be used in the actual painting, which will be oil on stretched canvas, with a black background...
