I've heard you never get back lost sleep, a new scientific fact that my gran used to preach to me 50 years ago, lol. They reckon once you get past 50 most have trouble sleeping at night and I believe it. The simple answer is have an afternoon nap if you can. Have a nap whenever you need one people, don't feel bad, humans have been doing this since the beginning.
I think you are right about the age thing. After 50 I started having issues. I fall asleep fast but can’t stay asleep long. I am up and down most nights. Sometimes I just give up and stay awake.
