There is no "Hanger 18" at WP, but there is a Building 18 complex. It belongs to the Propulsion Laboratory and includes a number of engine test bays. I've been in the building a number of times, usually to attend retirement ceremonies in its large conference room.
There are a series of personnel tunnels under WP used to connect various buildings to one another. There are also steam tunnels. The story about the alien in the Museum in 1965 is pure bunk. The building where the Museum was located in 65 was effectively off base and open to the public with no access to the rest of the base. The only way the alien could have gotten to the Museum from the base was to have been beamed there. Nick should send a FOIA request to WP to ask for a review of the records of both the Museum and the SP to see if a museum clearing event occurred in 1965.
