Yeah, Depp has always loved to portray - in real life! - an odd persona about him. He always purposefully wears the same "uniform" of slobby clothes, the glasses, the hat, more jewelry and accouterments hanging off him than any three ladies combined, and his poor attempt at facial hair - yeah, that uniform - and then always comes off as "eccentric" to put it politely. And this is just in the few moments of interviews I've seen on TV on occasion, but he's always the same.
