Check out the temp anomalies by Wednesday. A rather anomalously cool airmass will spill in behind it, offering a reprieve from the heat.

Unfortunately for Texas this just means going from 105 to 98, but much of the east may see temps 10-20° below typical August levels.

I hate to think of winter coming.

Even though I'm the mountains of GA winters aren't bad here. Last year we kept the pool open till early/mid November. Unless it's raining I wear flip flops all year. Very rarely does it snow here and if it does it's not much.
I won't quit riding the motorcycle till December most likely.

I briefly lived in Marietta years ago. Very briefly...lol There was a sudden dusting of snow and the entire Atlanta area closed for 24 hours.

That happend our 1st year here! In Virginia it was the same though. Less than an 1 inch and everything stopped...lol!

I learned to drive in the Chicagoland area called Da Region. Trust me, grew up with snow chains and snow tires and I can kick butt through most snow drifts. I was totally flabbergasted by everything shutting down for a 1/2 inch (maybe if ya stretched it) snow!
