I did not know that they only lived 5 years and died after laying eggs! A sad story for such smart and beautiful creatures. They lay a lot of eggs, I was shocked at the number, 10,000. The ones that are eaten in restaurants, I am assuming must be raised on farms?

Those round white objects in the tank are PVC connectors. PVC contains highly toxic chemicals that can leach out and are known to cause cancer and other serious disorders. Putting them in an aquarium with live animals is cruel and idiotic.

The octopus seems to know what the problem is and is doing its best to attack or push away one of them.
