In the world of high strangeness, few phenomena are as unnerving as humanoid entities: beings that almost resemble us, yet are clearly not human.
YouTube channel Dark5 has compiled a creepy collection of these 'figures,' for lack of a better term, which left their mark in the minds and, no doubt, nightmares of witnesses.
Featured in the collection alongside the legendary Mothman and the flying humanoid phenomenon is truly bizarre photograph purportedly taken at a gas plant in Texas back in 2012.
Despite being fairly ambiguous, the image is almost inexplicably unsettling on a visceral level as it seems to show a small, seemingly-hooded being with spindly arms and legs.
While one can't be certain that the photo was not simply a clever hoax, some paranormal enthusiasts have suggested that the humanoid is some form of the diminutive elemental beings that have been reported across the world throughout the ages.
Then again, when it comes to these types of mysterious humanoid entities, as we recently saw with the Atacama 'alien,' there just may be a down-to-Earth explanation for them, no matter how strange they may seem.
