I don't have a hiding place either! Like others here have said, I don't own many valuables; just my engagement ring and I wear that.

The shelf would fall down. I know; I put it up.
Though oddly I did used to hang out on a shelf and it was the best hiding place ever. I didn't put that one up myself, you see.

We have a plastic key holder that looks like a very average rock. Several years ago we planted a row of some plant along the edge of a flower bed, and buried the rock (with baggie sealed key) behind one of the plants. Have never had to use it.
