Guns, Ammo, and Gun Gear

At 1 point the Police department in the Dominican Republic? Was selling a Desert Eagle that was found on a plane that went down carrying drugs. The gun was linked directly to Pablo Escobar. It was rusty, but could have been restored. I waited hours upon seeing it for sale to ask the wife if I could have it. Well I finally asked she said...yes! And by that time it was sold! Only went for 600 or 800!

why not carry the 357 for fly fishing.?.. its a great gun for black bear. not so much for grizzly or brown bear though...those are more 10mm and 44 mag guys there...lol....black bears arent usually much of a threat though...( i know the reason though...:),,,same reason i keep telling the wife i need a 454 casull..cause i may run into a brown bear while in the back yard....in georgia...in the city....lol)......i must say K-9.. in all my years i never thought i would ask "why" or "really", but you may be the one who makes me ask that very question......lol...:D

My 357 is still pretty big and heavy. The glock i wouldn't feel bad about getting wet, dirty,or scratched. Also the 29 is small, but will fit in my Kenai chest rig.

Decided to go a completely different route with my AR-10. Basically setting it up for fun! I've determined it can do everything I want with an eotech exps2 and eotech ×5 magnifier. I found several other bipods here along with my atlas. Got a new stock for it along with a muzzle break that will work with my suppressor .
Suppressor sould arrive soon and then I can do the paperwork and send it to the atf to await approval. The suppressor i got will do every caliber upto 338 lapua! Basically i don't want to buy anymore suppressors...lol!
My AK needs a folding stock! I need an adapter and a few other parts to get that done, but I'm not in a hurry. It's fun the way it is and ammo is cheap and plentiful.
I'm not sure i wanna keep dumping money into my guns? Most work just fine and don't need all the crap I add. Next year I plan on just 5 guns? All just to say I got them and backyard fun.

New muzzle break for the AR-10. It's muzzle break so I have to use shims to time it which is a pain. It's compatible with my Silencerco 46m suppressor so the dogs and wife will be happy things aren't as loud.
You are now the silent shooter lol. congrats on the new purchase.

So the day before Xmas eve I fixed somethings around the house. I used my leatherman juice c2 for all of it! I've had it forever and have used it more than you'd ever imagine! On Xmas eve the pliers broke!!!! My awsome wife said order a new one, but to my surprise they are discontinued! So I grabbed a Juice c4 off ebay for a great price. It said it was used, but if it was it was only used maybe once! No scratches on the handles or tools and everything feels tight like new.
I did send my old one back to leatherman to see if they fix it or replace it with????
I'm so happy to have another Juice and it has a few more tools than my old one!

Also I'm pretty sure a Victorinox (Swiss Army) Champ and Alox farmer X. There is another Swiss company that has a nice pocket knife im gonna try also. I can't remember what their name is...lol!
I need to expand my Victorinox collection! They're just neat and useful.

Picked up my suppressor today. Filed with the ATF on 12-30-24 and it was approved 01-04-25! On a Saturday and basically less than 5 days!
For those that don't know. A suppressor used to take 6mo-1yr on average. Now 28 days is the average if done electronically using silencer shop and atf eforms.
The wife and dogs are happy!
Wow! That's pretty fast.

I remember talking to a guy working the SilencerCo booth at our local gun show. They were showing off their integrally suppressed Maxim 9 pistol. Someone asked if they needed a tax stamp and the guy was like "Absolutely 100% yes!" Just make sure there was no confusion. This prompted me to ask if I could buy one today would they be back next year so maybe I could pick it up by then? He laughed, I laughed, the guys around us laughed then we all sort of stopped and sighed in collective disappointment.
