Did you ever read the story of the guy who was at a remote place out west near a Canyon somewhere and found an old repeating rifle still leaning leaning against a tree that had been there for over 100 years?

I know a guy (me) lol Who found an old 22 in the mountains in Arkansas where I’m going this weekend. I found this rifle three years ago right there on the ground about 200 yards east of the cabin on the northside. The wooden stock and hand guard has long rotted away. I left it as is and hung it on my shelving next to my workbench. For those of you who know your Guns, this is clearly a marlin model 60. I’ve had two of them and the bolt is rusted open and a round is inside it pictured.

I thought Coranado's cannon was cool. Forty pounds, fire it from a tripod, range 700 yards.
