Guns, Ammo, and Gun Gear

Had a 10mm in the late 80's (?). Colt Delta GM. Back when Jeff Cooper still wrote for Guns & Ammo and promoted it.
The choices in 10mm was the large frame S&W, CZ with a locked and locked feature, and the Colt Government Model.

Nothing memorable except ammo was crazy expensive. If I'm remembering right, the FBI adopted it in the S&W for a brief time.

Introduced in '87. Think mine was used, purchased '91 ish.

I fell in love with 10mm long ago. Stores would give me great deals on the ammo...lol!
It's had its highs and lows through the years. I currently have 3 10mm's. Glock g20,Glock g40,and a custom 1911 in 10mm. I also have a chassis that turns my g20 into a rifle. I'll probably get a glock 29 for fly fishing. It's a great outdoors gun.
I got 1 357mag and love it. It's just a ruger gp100 stainless with hogue piranha grips. Do I want the gp100 in the 10mm version? Of course, but the purchase of the ar-10,optics,optic mount, dot sight to pigghyback, trijicon flip up irons,Atlas bi pod and mono pod,new charging handle,B5 stock, and maybe a new trigger. Are a bit of a setback right now....lol!
Not to mention the suppressor that I didn't think would be available for 2-3 mo is on its way....lol!
Then I gotta buy 3 muzzle breaks and thread my 308 barrel,2 end caps for the suppressor, and a tri lug mount.
So it probably won't be finished till January? Mid February?
why not carry the 357 for fly fishing.?.. its a great gun for black bear. not so much for grizzly or brown bear though...those are more 10mm and 44 mag guys there...lol....black bears arent usually much of a threat though...( i know the reason though...:),,,same reason i keep telling the wife i need a 454 casull..cause i may run into a brown bear while in the back yard....in georgia...in the city....lol)......i must say K-9.. in all my years i never thought i would ask "why" or "really", but you may be the one who makes me ask that very question......lol...:D

The glock 29 is small and light. It will also use my full size glock 10mm mags. The fact is can get it wet and covered in mud is also a plus and I have a chest rig for it.

I'm just a fan of firearms. I don't not believe in stock piling ammo or the government is coming for my guns or I need them for an invasion. I just like to shoot at my targets and have fun. Then there are some I collect just to have. I collect glock 9,45,and 10. I also collect Berettas. As far as suppressors and silencers go. Sure they're neat, but for the neat factor a 22lr suppressor is about the only one worth it. The rest of mine are because my range is in my yard and the noise really bothers the wife and dogs.
I also will be using some of my firearms starting in March when I start instructing again and I may shoot in a competition or 2 next year.
Do I need the amount of guns I have....nope! One day I'll sell most of them, the gunsmithing tools, and all the parts and accessories I got and do something awsome for the wife.

I've never had an issue with any bear. I've had more than a few black bear encounters and they were cool didn't bother me one bit. I just like to have something on me when in the outdoors away from people. It's just a tool for me. Just like a tire iron and car jack. You hope you never need them, but ya got them if an emergency happens.
