Guns, Ammo, and Gun Gear

Kimber slide, caspian frame and Nowlin barrel and other nowlin parts along with a few wilson combat and ed brown parts. Built it myself all fitting done by hand. The ejector I used a reverse drill bit to pull the ejector down nice and tight. It in 10mm and is amazing!

How do you like that NAA Mini? I was looking at one with a folding handle and wondering if it would be good to have for when I'm jogging. There have been a few times where I've encountered some critters out on the running trail and I'm feeling pretty vulnerable in just shorts and a tanktop.

Mine is a 22lr and I really like all the naa minis. The 22mag is nice and you can get it with a folding grip. It packs a bit more punch which you may want, but it's heavier and larger not by much though.

How does it handle? My worry is that it doesn't seem like I could get a good enough grip to fire it or that it would be awkward to use.

With the folding grip no problem getting a good grip on it. Also it's single action. So you gotta pull the hammer back each time you fire it. Also you have to leave it on 1 of the notches on the cylinder. If you leave it on a live round and the hammer gets smacked hard enough it will go off.

Take a look at a glock 42. They're small light and you can replace the rear slide cover and put 1 on that has a clip like you see on most modern pocket knives. If you throw underwood +p ammo in it you can meet and exceed standard 9mm. Mine looks bigger than it is due to the laser and light combo on it.

Good advice. I was guessing that it was too small to have any kind of hammer block but hadn't handled one in person yet.

I've got a P365 that's right about the same size as a G42. I like it for EDC and it's good for that, but even as small as it is it still feels bulky with track shorts. I have my Spyderco folder when I run and can feel the weight a bit but not too bad. I had turned my nose up at the NAA in the past but recently began reconsidering.

I'm taking my daughter to a gun show later this month as part of her Birthday present so I'm going to keep an eye out for something that would make a good jogging pistol.

The glock is a bit thinner and lighter than the sig. I also carry a spyderco folder most of the time. The lightest 1 I've found that I really like is the Matriarch.
If you live in GA I could sell you a firearm. I work part time at a gun store.
It's always good to go to gun shows even if it's just to handle a few firearms. That way if your local gun shop doesn't have 1 you can have them order it and you know what you're getting.

Thanks, but I live just outside Denver Colorado.

The gun show is great for me because all the good dealers are in one place. Most of the places near me are gun sellers more than gun shops. That is, mostly the big box store type of place that mostly sells outdoor gear but also has a firearms section. I hate those places. Sure they have a big selection but if you ask to handle a gun they look at you disapprovingly. Plus they have big trigger locks and cables going through the barrel so you can't hold it right, feel the trigger or work the slide.

The smaller gun shops are much better but most of them require bit of driving to get there. I'm not too keen on driving 45 minutes one way to see if the grips fit my hand. There was one place that was great and literally 2 miles from my house. I used to call them the "Build-a-AR Workshop" because literally 3/4ths of the store was AR15 parts and accessories. But they closed down a few years ago.
