Intriguing glimpse into Navajo culture and the law. An interesting coincidence is that I am currently reading "Paranormal Ranger" a book I bought, after reading an account from the author that Debi posted here. Turns out he was from the same area that this show is about and had a job much like the main character.

I have read most of Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn novels. They are fun to read and after the first one his Navajo students schooled him on real Navajo beliefs and culture so that his books got better. The televsion show is fun to watch but not accurate to that area. I grew up in that area as well and some Navajo kids lived with us, my dad worked on the reservation and we learned a lot about them, but they do not share everything with billigana (non Navajo). If you like the sow I recommend you read the book series.

It's on Netflix. Thumbs up.

I am so glad to hear this is a good review! I was thinking of watching this because I love the lead actor. I didn't know this story was from a series of books! I am always looking for new authors! Thanks, JahaRa.
