Since history has been recorded gold has been a store of value...used as money as well as a element in religions down through the ages. There is no way to destroy gold, you can use any destructive force to eliminate it's existence. Gold in whatever form will always be recoverable through refinement. It's not a wonder why in 1971 the US came off the gold standard and the dollar was no longer peg to the value of gold. Fiat money is valued at whatever the government says it is. Much more has been written but not for here. I'm submitting a comic book style drawing of what I call Super Ingot Man for good humor. Anyone with metaphysical views on gold are welcome to reply.
