At the end of the day, this is why investigators will not call out 'it is paranormal' based on one solo video, photo or EVP. We can only draw observations from small quantities of evidence and sometimes, odd things can be drawn from them, but that is all they are - odd. Only by conducting further investigations can we define fact from fiction, truth from exaggeration and hoax over actual events. Yes, we get witness testimonials but factoring in pareidolia, fear, religious beliefs and a ton of other human nature 'effects', they can only be used as a source of background history and most of the time, taken with a 'pinch of salt' until a point that they can be substantiated.
