The video begins with a apparently deserted hallway, where a cart of cleaning products has been left.
Yet within moments there seems to be a presence in the room, as the trolley shifts a few inches further into view.
After stopping for an instant, it’s on the move again – eventually rolling out into the middle of the room.
With it now clear that nobody is pushing the cart, it starts to move once more before things gets really weird.
Because at that moment the trolley actually changes direction, entering a room off the hallway.
And according to information posted alongside the video, it didn’t even stop there, being found a short way away.
YouTube user Tubba Rubba, who shared the clip, said it continued down a corridor past a few classrooms.
"The janitor thought that his cart could not have been pulled by a string due to its weight," they wrote.
"The footage was also checked beforehand and nobody was recorded entering the bathroom without also being recorded leaving the bathroom before this incident occurred."
