Veteran actor George Maharis passed away on Wednesday at the age of 94. He was primarily known for his work in classic television shows like Route 66 and Fantasy island.

A handsome man in his prime, he had a good run, 94 isn't too bad. Of course, life is always too short.
To me "Route 66" is one of relatively few older TV series that holds up nicely even today. It was well written and put the lead characters in situations that wouldn't seem out of the realm of possibility in 2023.
