This is not normal for sheep.
They usually just lay a straight line of grain over here and it looks as if they are feeding.
I had not even thought of that and you are right...heads down and quiet.
That’s exactly what I thought ! At first I thought maybe this area was the only spot with grass but it looks really bare. I thought perhaps hay or pellets were spread in this area. They seem to be facing diff directions and don’t look too orderly in the circle.
