It was four years ago this month some bureaucrat sent Hawaii into a state of panic when an inbound missile warning was announced. Might be something similar here, an exercise that went real world by mistake.

I brought this up several months ago during discussion of helo radar altimeter issues on the Skinwalker TV series. Looks like the MSM has finally taken notice of the problems.

The article is misleading in that it shows a US Army aeromedical helicopter, the issue discussed deals with the hospital owned air ambulance helicopters. As it is, these flights are dangerous enough without radar altimeter errors. I volunteered some years ago to assist a well known aviation safety watchdog group look at the safety record of these helicopters, it was appalling.
