Thanks for the suggestions. Mrs C agrees. She also suggests Beatrice Small who writes historical romance stories.Sign of Seven

The Cousins O’Dwyer (Dark Witch) - I am midway through the second book now.
The Guardians - this is the next trilogy I plan to read. My GF is halfway through the second book and told me that it might be her favorite of Nora’s stuff as it is different from the other trilogies.
I just started reading the Guardian series, so no spoilers! Nora has been one of my go to authors for years. If you've not read her new one yet, Year One, grab it. Really really good and a bit like "The Stand" by King or even Swan Song by McCammon. Just a lighter version of it but a really good read. Can't wait for book 2.You must have been up late last night reading 7.
So I’d like to write a review here of twelve books...ha! Actually, just a quick point about several trilogies.
So my GF is into Nora Roberts. She bought the first book in a random mystical trilogy but she had trouble getting into it because it had a lot of foreign words in the first chapter. So I picked it up and soldiered through the Gaelic (I think) to find that the story was intriguing. Roberts is known for her soft core Mommy Porn but I got through it. Found I really liked her mystical tales. So I read the entire trilogy. That got me hooked.
So essentially I’d like to suggest the following trilogies I’ve read starting with one that focused on a group of male protagonists instead of women. I’ve enjoyed:

Her trilogies are kind of formulaic in that each book focuses on one couple (of a group of six friends) and contains several small fantasy battles ending with a larger battle which is then arcing to a final war in the third book. Each book explores one couples relationship and lays out how that couple is critical to the larger group’s success. Beware: each book contains some minor smut.

Between each manly Nora Roberts trilogy I stop to read Dan Brown. His newest novel is sitting unread on my nightstand beneath four of Nora’s books. Priorities you know.
It's all your fault, Wands. I have now finished, since you posted this, the Guardian Trilogy and the Dark Witch trilogy. Yup, 6 books. And I just downloaded the Circle trilogy. You must have been up late last night reading 7.

Always have been. Been reading Nora for years. Took a break so she could catch up with me.Boy are you a prolific reader Debi. I must assume from the fact you are starting on your third trilogy that you are becoming a fan of that genre.
