Perhaps. Not all cats like riding in a vehicle lol. Been there, done that. Had my buddy's cat jump on my head the second i started the car. That was about about five seconds of absolute madness. Another time, my buddy's daughter was trying to find a home for an older pitbull. Awesome dog. They decided (without my knowledge) to send him home with me lol. Have to say, a pitbull is not a lap dog lol. The second i started my truck, he climbed on my lap, blocking the steering wheel. Next thing i know, i am dragging their mailbox about 50 feet down the highway lol.

very likely because I did the math, 800 miles divided by two months (90 days) is 26.6 miles a day, so not likely he walked there. Still a wonderful story and still a miracle to find its way home with a little help. Two months on its own, anything could have killed him. Wild animals would have been a huge danger out in the park for sure. It wouldn't surprise me if another camper took her in, maybe while the people were still camping and that is why they didn't find her.

Cats have been known to walk long distances to find their people. In this case, I think someone could have rescued him.
