its the connectedness of all things. what is your true face?, what was your face before you were born, koan kinda thing. our identity isnt in our face but in who we are as a spiritual being. i dont know if that is even close to the answer, but there are a few beliefs that follow that line of thought that a true spirit wouldnt have a "face" like we understand it.... i havent thought much of it, not following the ghost deal too much, but it kinda fits with other aspects of some beliefs and such.
