Exorcism Live! on Destination America

"Exorcism Live!" was a disappointment as you'd expect. The ghost hunters went to four different rooms in 20 minutes, hearing voices and sounds in each but instead of staying put they just kept moving along. All the while they were trying to contact the ghosts they were talking loudly and constantly. The bumps they heard were not really picked up by the camera mics.
The psychic then had his team bring in a giant Ouija board while at the same time having a Priest bless them. A seance was then held where everyone got cold, but that doesn't make for great TV.
After 5-7 mins of the Ouija answering that demons are here, the psychic freaked out and had everyone left. They recapped what happened briefly with the host and went to commercial.
Finally with less than 10 mins of air time left they got into the exorcism of the house. They played spooky music as we watched the rotund priest and the psychic walk around the house spreading holy water and praying.
The psychic was told by the good spirits to have the Priest repeat a passage just as the dong for the 10 o'clock hour went off. The psychic then reported the demons were swearing. They did a final interview before wrapping up the show.

Thank you for that synopsis, Brody! I really couldn't bring myself to watch the whole fiasco. Another TV "non-event".

Do demonic entities really watch the Subaru commercials? Or is it just a water break? :p

Most or all of the priests you see in these dog and pony shows are either defrocked disgraced mick padres or johnnie nobodies in character. Anyone can put on a collar and call themselves a priest.

Bishop James Long, Presiding Archbishop of the United States Old Catholic Church

Bishop Long knew at 5 years old that he wanted to be a priest. By the age of 9, he also knew that he was called to study Demonology and began to study anything he could on the subject. After years of studying for the Roman Catholic Priesthood, Bishop Long felt that God was calling him to the United States Old Catholic Church, where he currently serves as the Presiding Archbishop as well as an Exorcist. Bishop Long has performed 27 documented Solemn Rite of Exorcisms on people possessed by demonic entities, and hundreds of Minor Rite of Exorcisms on demonic entities who have infested a home or building. It is the Minor Rite that he will be performing on the Exorcist house during EXORCISM: LIVE! He is the author of Through the Eyes of an Exorcist and the founder of The Paranormal Clergy Institute, created to help home-owners and paranormal groups by providing information that will help defend against demonic entities. He also teaches an online introductory demonology course.

I have not heard a bit of chatter on it after the fact. Must have fallen a bit flat. Even my FB feed where I follow this kind of stuff went dead on it.
