"Exit" Points

No, not on the highway, rather the highway of life.
Years ago a theory was proposed by the "old time" psychics of the day that we all have 3 "exit" points in our lives where we can choose to leave this one and move on to the other side.

Five years ago, I think I hit one of those when I had an NDE and was asked if I wanted to stay or leave. Since you're reading this you know I chose to stay.

Have you ever heard of or experienced something like this?
Been suddenly saved from what should have killed you?
Somehow avoided an accident that you know was meant for you?
Or know the origins of this concept?

Share your thoughts with me please.

1985 I was in a maroon '67 Chevy Nova, chrome engine and a pair of balls. I was not driving. There was three of my friends in the car as well. We were on a narrow country road. It had rained all day. We started sliding around, hit the "shoulder", which gave way. We rolled at least three times. The driver and another passenger were thrown from the car. I was on my way out of the car when it came to a stop upside down, with me half way out, and my right leg pinned under the car. The Nova is in a better place now, but for some reason only one person in the car had to spend any time in the hospital, and that was only for a couple days. I'm not sure how none of us went to the other side, but I think this was my first exit point . Two years ago a scenario that would allow me to exit. This scenario scared the hell out of me and never came to full fruition. So I figure I have one more exit point, but I think I'll stick around.

Had you heard of this teaching before, Jay?

are you still pulling slivers out of your butt?
No no, it's fine. It was those pebbly gravel things and I was wearing sturdy jeans. Not sturdy enough to prevent me being smashed up on hitting the ground from great height, but good enough to prevent any butt related problems while sliding towards my doom. Actually, I'm even more glad, as I was laying on my front.

Well, from the sound of your accident, it sounds to me like you had an army of angels making sure you didn't get a choice but to live!

This concept goes waaaay back. I'm trying to research to see where this originated.
I remember everything happening real slow, but I don't remember what I was thinking
