Egyptian spell book translated

I wondered if the people who found the book tried any of the spells? I was reading the comments under the article and someone else wondered this, then a poster said that the spells do not work unless they are used by the person who wrote them. Is that true?
 
The bottom line is spells are much like a prayer...they are very personal. "Spells" work by intention. Just muttering some words doesn't work. A spell has to be "worked", in the sense that your intention and use of energy makes it manifest.

Sounds like maybe the "intention" was there, but maybe you needed different words! lol
