After hearing a tape of myself, I gave up my college radio show soon thereafter. The prof who ran the station tried to talk me out of it, but telling me there was nothing wrong with a "reedy voice" was not a self esteem builder in an era of mahogany voiced, FM rock DJs.Why do we hate the sound of our own voices ?

So glad I saw this! Yes, I agree 100% I have a pair of bone-conducting headphones that are bizarre but very helpful in keeping me present and listening to my voice. They are weird. I discovered them because I was researching this ENT (ear nose throat) specialist from Paris who uses a special bone conduction feedback loop and playing specific sounds, frequencies, music to help stimulate the areas of ear /brain that are needed for target accent, language.
