Did you ever read...

Lots! I loved superhero stuff the best and mostly preferred Marvel (60s to 80s stuff). Spider-man, Spider-Woman and Transformers, but Warlock by Jim Starlin was the best. I also read a lot of the British kids comics, Beano, Dandy, Whoopee!, Cor!, Topper and on and on... dozens of nearly identical comic strips, but fun at the time. 2000 AD was good. Then later, Alan Moore (Watchmen, V for Vendetta), the Doctor Who comic strip (still going since the 60s!) and whatever else I found. I love writing and visual art so comics are great.
The dodgy ads weren't really there in mine though (other than imported back issues) so I never got to experience Sea Monkeys or learn Dimac.
