Reports: Legendary musician David Crosby dead at age 81
His career spanned six decades. Crosby is the founding member of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills & Nash.

I saw him with Crosby,Stills & Nash in the mid 80's. Wow.
My brother saw him in a small venue after he just got out of rehab in the 80's. Wish I would have went to that show.
It was a solo acoustic with a piano And my brother said it sounded so pure. Described his voice as bigger than all outdoors.
Damn.

This must be old home week up in heaven. The musicians are checking out. Sad, he was a great talent and alot of my youthful memories have his bands playing in the background.

Back in the 1960s there were a number of rock venues around San Francisco in addition to The Fillmore. One of them was Longshoreman's Hall and I saw Crosby there with The Byrds. And, again with CSNY at the Big Sur Folk Festival.
I also saw Jeff Beck with The Yardbirds at another SF venue called The Carousel Ballroom which later became Fillmore West when the original Fillmore moved there from Fillmore Street.
There were many other artists around the SF Bay Area too in those days. Many famous ones and some not. I saw as many as I could.
