how do you know they were failed? Because they are rubble now? Time could of done that or it could of been destroyed by there own will.Perhaps for lack of space or just a new monument. How do you know how long anyone took to master anything?

The pyramids are considered failed because the math was wrong they toppled because of the angles..many early examples were too steep. ......more so you can go to even earlier times when the Egyptians made even more primitive pyramids and just raised mounds especially Mastaba and step pyramids.

So again...the pyramids can be charted and their collective ages be documented.....they started with early pyramids step pyramids and Mastaba...all the way to the grand pyramids we all know and they still exist today.

They were envisioned then over time they evolved into the pinnacle of what they are at GIZA.

The best example is the pyramid Meidum. It was built a total of three times.....because it was too unstable. I believe it was 3rd dynasty Snefru

The simple answer is that pyramids, over time, started out as very simple mud constructs and evolved into the grand monuments of the Giza Plateau that still exist today.

Mastery is creating something that still exists today in some form shape and manner ..... a wonder of the world.

Edit: (first pyramids) 3050 –2686 BC to .1549 - 1524BC (last pyramid)
