I would think this would be done by appointment
It is, but there are still lines and waiting here in Indiana. Some other states are simply opening up and saying get in line. It's a bit of a mess right now. From what I hear they are already booked here until March 1, and that's just the over 70 group.

I understand they are going to open it up to pharmacy next. Just tonight I heard 3 different pharmacies with 3 different ways to register. They want ID and a Q code here, yet other states are simply doing drive thoughs. It's very confusing right now.

After having worked on getting an appt. for my husband for over a week, I can fully agree the system is a mess. And it's over a month wait for first jab.

AND, rant time here....pulling up my soapbox.

What the heck happened to prioritizing the most vulnerable first? I'm sitting here at 68, on O2 with 3 high risk factors and can't even sign up yet in my state. HOWEVER, I see high profile people all over just skipping right over to somehow get one? Sorry, but what the HELL!

It’s awful Deb. I agree. The rich and famous always get the most grease.

I wouldn’t doubt it for a second that it did come out of a lab. That shouldn’t have ever been thought about not happened. People have lost their lives over this thing because of some numb skull....

Illinois is an absolute basket-case with delivering vaccines. The politically connected in Chicago are first in line. Then they are trying to deliver vaccines in a socially equitable way. Forget medical conditions. Ironic and read into it whatever.
My mom just told me a story about one of her Psychic Friends who is an executive with Walgreens Pharmacy in Illinois. 65, high risk, can't get vaccinated. She went to visit her mother in a nursing home in Indiana. CVS Pharmacy was there giving vaccinations and told everybody in the lobby that they have extra and would anyone like to get the shot.
Also ironic, and she did.
