Maybe removing the electrical symbols and spent filaments that could've proved it was a giant power generator.

What a travesty that this is being done with no archeologist on sight to over see whatever is being done. Work men with no knowledge of the antiquity just pounding away to put in lighting or wires is terrible. What is going over in Egypt that they would damage there greatest attraction and claim to fame. Not too smart in my opinion.
