WE TALK ABOUT FOOD ALL THE TIME, YET WE HAVE NEGLECTED THE WORLD OF SCENTS!
WHAT SCENTS DO YOU FIND GREAT WHILE OTHERS MAY GAG AT THEM?
(My husband gags if I open a can of tuna!)
ALSO:
Oh...that season is here again in the midwest! The smell of the fair food...nothing like it!the scent of a ball park or the leather scent of a mitt takes me back to the childhood years. or the smell of the main strip, (midway?) at the state fair
Oh my, I have a nose like a blood hound (I always knew when my husband's friends were smoking pot in my car, or when the idiot had his girlfriend in my car becaus of her perfume). I hate those scented sprays, also I hate perfume, people tend to use too much. As for favorite scents I love spearmint and orange, the smell of green chile roasting in August, but I also love the smell of pinto beans cooking, fresh baked bread or cookies, cinnamon, the flowers on my tree at night in May.My mom had the nose of a beagle. She could smell things a block away! Therefore she always kept the house filled with air freshners because she liked them. Anyone remember the Wick sticks? As an asthmatic kid, I used to spend time outside just breathing until the doc finally explained why the Wick sticks had to go! She did comply but once I grew up and left home those things came back..lol
Otherwise, we always knew dinner was done in the evening by the scent of burnt dinner rolls.
The smell of a campfire in fall....that's something I miss.As far as food goes, i love the smell of a barbecue. Night time, the smell of a campfire also just brings back alot of memories. Now my absolute favorite (not food) is the smell of fall around here. I always say...It smells like October
