This might be a very mundane one, but I recently got a clock from a thrift shop that almost seems to reset itself? It’s a battery powered analog clock, with moving hands instead of a digital readout. I have to reset it constantly, it jumps ahead hours at a time overnight, regularly, even though it seems to function normally when I’m in the room awake with it. I’ve timed the second hand and it takes 60 seconds to get around, as it should. Just a very odd anomaly, not sure if it qualifies as paranormal but I’m interested in hearing thoughts.

Welcome sulema01, that's an interesting story. Have you considered setting a video to record the clock face overnight?

Is there anyone else in the home overnight who could be messing with you?

A video is a good idea. I might see if I can borrow a camera with night vision. It’s just my fiancé and I in the house, and I am an incredibly light sleeper. She wakes me up every time she has to get up to go to the bathroom or get water, so I don’t think she’s the culprit. I also wanted to mention, there’s no discernible pattern to how far ahead the time jumps when it happens, it appears to be random.

You can probably use the camera on your phone, just turn on a light that doesn't glare on the clock face.

Curious if you have tried changing the batteries?

Welcome, sulema01 to the ParaNormal Forum. When you manually set the clock, does the hour hand move precisely as expected ?
It does! I've timed the hands with my phone and they are all accurate. I have a soldering and electrical workbench at my job, so I might bring it in and open it up, if even just for curiosity's sake.

Most of those relatively inexpensive battery powered clocks use the same type internal clockwork mechanism. (My wife's Mom owned a craft store, she had hundreds of those things. I think she paid less than a dollar for them.) I doubt you taking it apart will yield much, this is what you are likely to find.
