UFO Over Chilean City Causes Panic | Mysterious Universe

A UFO over Iquique, Chile, earlier this week was seen by thousands and caused many to panic. The “official” explanation soothed some but raised different concerns in others, especially with the recent UFO sighting and delayed explanation in Los Angeles, as well as similar bright lights in the sky seen in Texas.

If the number of tweets, Facebook posts and videos uploaded is any indication, the circle of bright lights was witnessed earlier this week by many residents of the port city of Iquique in northern Chile. The lights were seen at night, appearing and disappearing suddenly. As a tone of panic rose in the tweets, posts and media reports, officials released statements saying the lights were actually a test of a new public clock that will beam a display of the correct local time in the sky.

While that explanation satisfied some, others had many concerns. For one thing, the circle of lights didn’t look anything like a digital clock display. Also, copper mines in Iquique were visited by a UFO in April 2015 and the Chilean government investigated another nearby UFO sighting in 2014. Neither have been fully explained.

Then there were those who wondered if it was related to the recent UFO sighting over Los Angeles which received worldwide attention before the U.S. Navy finally admitted it was a missile launched from a submarine.

Bright lights in the sky this week weren’t limited to Chile. In Spring, Texas (north of Houston), mysterious bright lights moving across the sky were reported on October 31st and again on November 10th. Some attributed them to spotlights from a local auto dealership but its management claims the spotlights were off when the lights were seen.

As with any projections in the sky, talk turns to Project Blue Beam. If the government can project the time in the sky, what next? The temperature … or something more sinister? Spring, Texas, is about 60 miles from NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Has Mission Control embarked on a secret new mission?
