Residents in two separate American cities have recently noticed some rather odd visitors to their community in the form of a weird-looking creature that many have likened to the infamous chupacabra. Over the last few weeks, people in the Minnesota city of Faribault have reported sightings of a canine-looking animal lurking in the area. According to a local media report, video footage of the unsettling beast sparked speculation as to its nature with some even suggesting it could be a chupacabra.

Adding a somewhat eerie layer to the case, it seems that Faribault is not the only locale to suddenly become home to a such a strange creature. Over 700 miles away in Ohio city of Dublin, residents have also been seeing hairless animal with an uncanny resemblance to the 'Faribault beast.' In fact, according to a post by the local government on Facebook, there are believed to be four of the creatures currently somewhere in the city. And, like with the animal in Minnesota, these oddities have also drawn comparisons to the chupacabra.

Fortunately for those who may fear that the infamous cryptid is invading parts of middle America, wildlife officials say that all of the animals are almost certainly red foxes stricken with mange. While that may help some people rest easier, one can't help but wonder why they've popped up in two different cities and, in turn, worry that we may soon see more.

It certainly fits the one type of chupacabra. It looks big to be a fox. That’s a strange animal regardless.
