Chinese Cars Trapping Drivers During Russian Winters

How do people live there! I could not take the endless cold and snow. The idea of being trapped in the freezing cold to die is horrifying. Russia is interesting to read about when it is not about the war. I watched a show about what their houses or apartments looked like and it will really make you appreciate what we have here. The apartments are so small it is shocking, especially when they must have to spend a lot of time indoors. Check out the housing tours on line if you get bord.

Typical cars in Canada had block heaters when I was there years ago. Plug them in at night NOT to recharge them but to allow the oil to move around on startup. Some folks take their batteries inside at night. The colleges had huge tunnels (two golfcarts could pass each other) underneath for students to walk indoors to class. The lesson really is “Don’t buy cheap cars.”

You can get the block heaters in the US as well, they are not uncommon here in Ohio. I had a friend whose Dad would throw an electric blacket on his engine block on sub-zero nights.
