Archaeologısts Sergıo Grosjean, who currentlƴ ıs workıng at the sıte, said: ‘Theƴ ımprınted theır hands on the walls ın black… whıch sƴmbolızed death, but that didn’t mean theƴ were goıng to be kılled, but rather dıed from a rıtual perspectıve.’
So in other words, these children were used as some sort of sacrifice for these rituals?

Perhaps the handprints were made in some sort of remembrance...

It sounded more like they put these prints as a sign of their childhood ending and going into adult life. I spent most of the time wiping my kids handprints off windows, tv's and walls, lol.
