Change that station!

Pretty much a talk radio guy. But those little snippets of Bumper Music are enough to inspire me and fire me up all day long.:)

I wish baseball would stop having walk up music when a batter gets up to the plate. These players, these Heroes of Summer, have terrible taste in music. :(
Music is like expressing an opinion. I will tolerate just about anything as long as it is played at a polite volume.:)*
* I have to get Chaleh to make that a meme.
I’m a talk radio person too. I’ve fallen off a bit since discovering podcasts. Do you listen to 97.1 the ticket ? A good sports talk channel.

Nope. Just the station that carries the White Sox. They will have pregame and postgame and the weekend Weekly Review show. I don't often listen to 'General' sports-talk radio. One local station manages to make something fun very boring. The other is ESPN and they only cover teams from New England and the Yankees. (think about it...)

It sounds like you have a great sports-talk radio radio station - cherish it.

Now to answer the question, what makes you turn off the radio?
The Balance of Nature vitamin ads. They are condescending to the listener. Portray old people giving testimonials as simpletons. And skirt the law with their wild health benefit claims.
#2 when Thomas from La Jolla calls in on Coast to Coast.

These two things are my El Guapo.*
* El Guapo was the name of the bad guy in "The Three Amigos.";) Steve Martin explained to us that we all have our own El Guapo:p.

Chicago or Rush.

No rap? Really? I have a soft spot in my heart for the old school. Doesn't hurt that Run DMC were some of the nicest guys I chanced to meet.

That's distinct from more modern, liquid porn "hip hop."

I was a big Rush fan for many years. He changed a lot as his fame grew. By the time Marta divorced him he was jumping the shark a lot. I think his drug use was effecting him. Then he had the hearing loss. I remember Art doing a mass consciousness healing for him. He did recover with that implant. I still like him and appreciate his talent bit I don’t listen as a regular any more.

I can't tell you necessarily *why* I don't like Rush, but I don't.

But my answer really should have been Journey. I wouldn't piss on those guys if they were on fire.

Just curious which rush is being discussed.....lol.
