This is not exactly a paranormal thing, but it scared the pilot as he flew into a "dark curtain of night"..

Not everything on site is paranormal. We've discussed the SR-71 a few times here and other aircraft. 
I got to see an SR-71 take off from Kadena AB on Okinawa. The base came to standstill when it took off, the ground shock and the noise was deafening. Most impressive a/c I ever saw.
The technology we have gained since the first plane launch in 1903 to know is amazing. That plane trip was from 1967, I didn't know we had that then. I do remember a lot of sonic booms growing up, which I don't hear anymore.
