I keep meaning to post this sorry I’ve been out for a bit. Life keeps sending me curveballs, sliders, fastballs, and every other kind of curve you can think of.. Heading back to Caddo Gap next Friday on the sixth. And yes, we will be doing some recording at the creepy solar house again but this one will be more non-invasive. These recordings will be a set it and forget it until we pick them up five days later. Pretty sure Bruce isn’t coming so he’s gonna leave the set up to me. I think our plan is to do one baseline recording and set three recorders to record every night for five nights and completely stay out of the house. I do have 312 feet of XLR cable where I could have a microphone in the house run the cable out the window, all the way down the hill, all the way back to the cabin to a recorder and headphones and listen to everything in real time, if we choose to. As if the valley isn’t spooky enough at night time lol. We will be recording the valley every couple hundred yards apart from each other during the week as well. I want to think more Bigfoot oriented on this trip doing some knocks and trying different things as if we were bigfooting.
I guess I will also add that I keep being warned…about having extra protection with me on this trip. Not so much just firearms, Which I will be rocking my chest holster again like in Washington but also spiritual protection, and even protection for me….from me. Keep in mind I have a torn tendon in my left foot so probably not gonna be climbing any mountains on this trip but I’m using this magical place to hopefully accelerate my healing….Will keep y’all posted in the coming days on what the plans are.

One day i will accompany you to this place. Glad you will have every form of protection. Hope your torn tendon doesn't hinder you too much, but your well being is more important than answers. Be safe, Lonny! Keep us posted.

Ok so, Bruce and I were getting a game plan for the house as he won’t be there. Our plan will be relatively the same as far as placement but with a few small changes. We are going to try an illicit a reaction possibly by deploying 2 “trip wire traps”. Not sure just how yet. My thinking is using three empty Diet Coke cans. Something like run some monofilament very low to the left side of the walkway run the monofilament to the other side to an eye hole, or some thing with the cans on the other end, something hits, it would move the cans about which the recorder with very clearly hear, or something like that. One set for upstairs, one set for downstairs. We went from 3 to 5 recorders for the house now. One basically in every corner, and then “Steve’s crawlspace recorder”. Any ideas are certainly welcome.

I just saw your post, sorry Lon. Are you on your way up today? Are you still going? I love the idea of you being able to listen in live time from a position of safety. That would be fun. Are you camping in your trailer or tent? Good luck and keep us posted.

Good morning it is 851 central time 38°. Yes I’m headed there now. I’m about an hour and a half away. Had a couple of small hiccups this morning like the heater in my room set off the smoke alarm my truck was acting weird, but everything seems to be normal again . trying to get into the headspace get ready for being in the mountains no electricity no running water for the next seven days of temperatures in the low 20s at night. I’m an old salty dog this but it’s still very much a mental thing.. So I’m listening to some music that I used to listen to when I would go up there by myself to give me pumped up but yes, we will be able to listen to what’s going inside the house all the way down to the cabin in real time I’ll keep you posted throughout the week. Y’all have a great weekend.

Get the Hell out!!!! Lol. I just bought a deck of cards, turned it over and opened it, and I swear on my father‘s grave this was on top!

Morning peeps. Update: The long distance live mic listening was a failure. I’ll include a couple of pictures here turns out I was about 50 feet short of our tent and a total of about 200 feet short from the cabin. And untying 200 feet of XLR cable, in the woods, on a downhill with branches all caught in It is easy try it sometime lol. Scott and I worked our butts off to get that not I’m done for Foot was an issue as well. Steve’s crawlspace recorder went into action last night. I’ll include pictures of that as well. As for the cans, I just lined them up in the middle of the stairs and see what’s gonna happen. As I was coming back down the hill from the house, something told me to turn around and take up behind the shoulder. Shot of the house included that as well. Overcast and cold here exactly how I like to be in the mountains. Absolutely perfect!! I’ll report back in a few days.
