Astronomer claims gravity breaking down

There is so much we don't understand about the 'workings' of the universe. Perhaps searching a tad closer to 'home' will yield some of those answers. Observing a conversation from afar with binoculars doesn't exactly explain all you are seeing (minus the ability to read lips lol).

The laws of physics that explain the motions of the stars are the same laws that define thousands of earthly experiences, from satellite orbits to rifle ballistics and amusement park rides.
Observing distant events can give us a statistical advantage that helps reinforce or refute theories.
We can't just contemplate our navel forever.
