It’s pretty straight forward. Acknowledge it’s there, firmly state rules but don’t provoke it, and carry on.
I just have a couple rules for visitors. Don’t take my things, there’s other ways to get my attention besides startling me, don’t wake me up unless it’s an emergency.
If you want it to stay, by all means do try to get evps. That doesn’t necessarily mean it will stay but the more attention you give the more likely it will.
