That actually seems as if it could be true; and if it is, that would explain the lack of compassion or the way that they don't seem to care if they upset or hurt people.

It's possible. You need something that can withstand the harshness of interstellar travel. Besides, they don't appear to shock troops lol. Without all their little gadgets, you could wipe them out with a twig :)

It is entirely possible that they do not avail themselves of sexual reproduction. They may no longer even possess genitalia. I haven't asked.

According to experiencers, they are emotionless, and clinical. It wouldn’t surprise me to find out they were soulless jerk robots.
