Good grief! They even affected the receptacles in the homes! Wonder who gets to pay for that?
 
Not the utility company, I'm sure. Insurance? Nope! I guess that leaves the homeowner. Heck, they're probably lucky not to be charged for meter replacements!

Because we are part of a locally owned REMC, we currently have the option of no smart meters. It's good to be part of a co-op! There is still a touch of control there.

We were on a co-op when I lived at home a lifetime ago, but just about everything around here is Entergy. There are a few small co-ops but none that I can get service from. I think this is suck a small town that the smart meters haven't been rolled out here yet, but I'm sure they'll try it eventually. I plan to decline.
