That is an interesting theory! Crystals can communicate, I am sure. There are many things that we don't fully understand. I had placed them all outside during the most recent full moon. I usually do that each full moon, but this time I added the amethyst.
amethyst can relax the mind and deepen the connection to the spiritual realm... also a spiritual stone.. could be causing a stronger connection on the psychic side, especially sense recently "charged"...... do you also have Black tourmaline in the mix? it is a great protection stone against negative energies.
try and get some black tourmaline. its a good shield from negative encounters. onyx absorbs and changes the energy, (and should be cleansed regularly)... tourmaline out and out deflects negative energy away....(good if in crowds or around those that drain your energy).. they are both similar but with a few slight differences. tourmaline also has a slightly higher water content which is good if you are a water sign..
